Hi All, Today’s USA and Canada Research Group meeting was very interesting with some amazing research presented. Some of the people in our family tree ended up in Canada for a time through their military backgrounds. They have been easily traced through Canadian records on Ancestry, FindMyPast and through Canadian government records. One of the descendants of a military man posted to Canada was born in England. The son spent time as a youth in Ontario then returned to the US as an adult. On FindMyPast, I found the Pennsylvania, Philadelphia Passenger Lists, 1800–1848 very useful in tracing this man’s arrival in the US. Although the passenger information raises a lot of fascinating questions. Other USA  and Canada researchers might find this resource useful.
